Salomon Kohn becomes the brand's representative here. That same year, a Longines is chosen to fly for the country.

Origin · 1932

In the early 1930s the Czechoslovak air force asked Longines for a watch its pilots could trust.

The instrument · 1935

It was registered in Bern on 1 April 1935. A 40 mm cushion case, its rotating bezel timing the length of a flight, the caseback engraved Majetek vojenské správy.

The proof · 1940–1945

When war came, Czechoslovak airmen carried it to Britain and flew with the R.A.F. in squadrons 310, 312, 313 and 311, through the Battle of Britain.

The return · Today

Nearly ninety years later, Longines has revived it. The Pilot Majetek returns to Prague, automatic and chronometer-certified, a few steps from where its story began.
